Purpose Connections is a quarterly, free online gathering of social purpose leaders, professionals and advocates, coming together to connect, learn and share on topics related to the purpose economy and integration of purpose into core business strategy. Each session will offer a 30 minute presentation, followed by 30 minutes of open discussion and breakout sessions. Our second session takes place on February 20th, with special guests Christelle Francois (Equity Economic Development Group), Joanne Norris (Consultant), and Adam Spence (Social Venture Connexion), sharing their views and experiences working at the intersections of Capital & Purpose. How can impact investors continue to drive social and environmental equity forward in a rapidly evolving world? What impact investing strategies and models are gaining traction in Canada? What obstacles exist and how can they be addressed? And what’s needed to continue to attract more impact investors that embed purpose in capital transactions?
