Building language technologies for our under-represented languages

Building language technologies is crucial because they can help preserve and promote linguistic diversity and provide access to information and communication for speakers of these unpopular languages. However, not all languages are equally represented in our current language technologies, which excludes many people from the benefits of these technologies.

This webinar, which features two experts from both academia and the industrial sector, will address questions like “What is the current state of unpopular languages in artificial intelligence?”, “What are the challenges facing the inclusion of these languages?” and “What are some of the works done, both in industry and academia, to include the minority languages in technologies?”’
