The Time Is Now: Restorative History and Racial Justice in America

While there has been much discussion about systemic racism in the United States, many Americans still lack an understanding of what processes that address historic wrongs might actually look like. To assist communities in visualizing and implementing related projects, the Coalition's Global Initiative for Justice, Truth and Reconciliation (GIJTR) recently launched its first podcast, a series of conversations between three Sites of Conscience in the United States and four based in countries that are going or have recently undergone transitional justice processes, including members in Colombia, The Gambia, South Africa and Sri Lanka. In this webinar, podcasts participants will share their strategies for helping communities connect everyday issues such as land and health with meaningful efforts to support restorative history and racial justice in America.
