Caring for a loved one, such as a spouse, parent, friend, or child with a mental disorder can be emotionally exhausting and mentally challenging. Studies have shown that caregivers, when compared to the general population, suffer twice the rate of depression. Although all of our general support groups are open to family members and friends, 18 years of age and older; re:MIND offers specialized Family and Friends focused groups in addition to our general groups.
In our support groups we:
· Provide a compassionate environment of peers who accept and understand each other.
· Provide participants with support and the necessary tools needed to assist them in living more meaningful and healthy lives.
- Length: 90 minutes
- Video and audio required
- Registrations may be canceled with multiple no-shows
