We will explore the range of forms that leadership may take for you and your colleagues within ESA and in the larger scientific community. During a brief panel, four ESA members will share stories about their own paths to leadership experiences and how they continue to develop as a leader. The panel will be preceded and followed by a series of self-reflections and small-group activities to encourage all participants to explore definitions of leadership, how their view of leadership intersects with their social identities and career stage, and how ESA might be an asset for leadership opportunities and support. The workshop is designed for ESA members at all career stages, identities, and research areas.
The workshop is designed for small group interaction, registration will be limited to the first 60 registrants.
