Do you find it almost impossible to make sense of all the marketing and promotion hype out there? Are you struggling to gain the attention you believe your organization deserves? Perhaps you are new to marketing and promotions and you are in a panic, not knowing where to start. If so, then this introductory level course will help you understand the building blocks of marketing your organization to the public, including the primary features of developing your brand and targeted messaging.
After the two-day course, you will have a solid understanding of the important foundational components of marketing. Then you can move forward strategically and plan your future promotion.
•Learn how to apply the Marketing Mix to your nonprofit's programming;
•Assess and define your Target Audience(s) including small and large donors and make sure your messaging is persuasive and effective;
•Delve deeper into your organization's branding to develop key messages that set your organization apart;
•Stylize your key messages for each audience by crafting a Message Matrix, while always keeping true to your mission and your brand;
•Finally, you will learn some low-budget promotional tools to effectively brand and accelerate your nonprofit's mission
This class will be two sessions on July 6th and 13th from 9-11 am, with an additional 1-hour office-hour to ask any questions or follow up after the course on July 20th from 12-1 pm.
