RevolutionNJ History Happened Here Webinar

The launch of RevolutionNJ’s History Happened Here program (formerly “Our Town”) is coming in 2024! Will you be ready?

History Happened Here will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States as students (grades 5 to 12) engage in local historical research, including visits to public history sites to access key primary and secondary sources and gain a better sense of place.

In order for student visits to be productive, RevolutionNJ’s educational program specialist Bob Fenster will be holding a 45-minute webinar for public history sites on Wednesday, January 25 at 3 pm. The webinar will be designed to provide specific, concrete suggestions how you can prepare for this program over the course of the next year. Topics will include staffing needs, recommended hours of operation, and New Jersey Historical Commission grants for the digitization of materials for this project.
