Beyond MU | The Practice of Love: A Book Discussion of “The Whole Language: The Power of Extravagant Tenderness” by Rev. Greg Boyle, S.J.
Please join us in this season of Easter joy and inspiration for a discussion of the newest book from Rev. Greg Boyle, S.J., The Whole Language: The Power of Extravagant Tenderness. In the spirit of Tattoos on the Heart and Barking to the Choir, Father Boyle once again allows his experience, witness and stories from his life and ministry at Homeboy Industries to invite us to deeply know, love and follow Jesus of the Gospel present in the lives of those he meets. Through the power of such witness, Father Boyle reminds us that we too, are invited to engage with the living Christ, and the living work of the Gospel in our own communities as we continue to engage in the art and practice of love each day.

Father Boyle is the founder of Homeboy Industries, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world. Father Boyle received an honorary doctorate from Marquette University during Mission Week in 2021.

This book discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Maney, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and Dr. Kathy Coffey-Guenther, senior advancement officer for alumni spirituality at Marquette University.

Please direct any questions or special needs to Kathy Coffey-Guenther at kathleen.coffey-guenther@marquette.edu or (414) 288-6672.
