Kristallnacht Commemoration with Susan Warsinger
On November 9-10, 1938, Nazi stormtroopers and their sympathizers carried out a pogrom against Jews, Jewish institutions, and businesses throughout Germany, Austria, and other Nazi-controlled territories. On what has become known as Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, dozens of Jews were murdered, Jewish-owned stores and synagogues were attacked, destroyed, and burned to the ground, and Jewish cemeteries were desecrated. Tens of thousands of Jews were deported to concentration camps.

Please join 3GDC on November 9 for a virtual commemoration of Kristallnacht. 3GDC is honored to have, as our featured speaker, Susan Warsinger, who was a child in Nazi Germany and survived the terrible events of Kristallnacht. Mrs. Warsinger will speak about her experiences during Kristallnacht, as well as her escape from Germany and Europe in the years afterwards. Mrs. Warsinger is a longtime resident of the DC area who volunteers for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. We look forward to hearing her story.
