Lessons Learned Transitioning From an In-person Event to a Virtual Forum
With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spreading rapidly in Alaska, many event planners, program managers, and other organizers of large gatherings have recently made the decision to hold their events virtually instead of in-person. During this learning series we will hear from Jeff Silverman, Communication Director of the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) on what factors influenced AFN’s decision to go virtual, how things shifted once they made the choice to hold their event online, what went well, and what lessons were learned. Experts from the State of Alaska will also review the latest COVID-19 dashboard numbers and provide any relevant updates on guidance related to large gatherings and events.
