In a Flash: Super-Short Texts for Big Conversations

You've heard of short stories, but have you heard of "flash" stories? What about "micro" stories? These bite-sized pieces of writing are not just for when time is a factor. They are a great way to launch discussions, build context and content quickly, give students practice with skills, add into stations, and more. In this session, participants will learn how to leverage flash and micro texts--fiction, nonfiction, memoir, etc.--for learning the content and for building writing skills in students.
