Asia Power Index 2023 and implications for Indo-Pacific
First published in 2018, the annual Asia Power Index measures resources and influence to assess the relative power of state in Asia. This analytical tool maps the distribution of power across 26 countries in the Indo-Pacific, from Pakistan in the west, to the United States in the east. The 2023 edition, which covers five years of data, gives insight into the most important strategic issues in Asia.

In order to better understand the most comprehensive assessment of the changing distribution of power in Asia so far, this Indo-Pacific Policy Dialogue live event has arranged for Susannah Patton, Director of the Southeast Asia Program at the Lowy Institute and the Project Lead for the Asia Power Index to speak. The discussion will be moderated by Stephen NAGY, YCAP’s Director of Policy Studies. The guest will introduce herself and present their views in 20 minutes, then engage in dialogue and Q&A moderated by the host.
