Impacts of Light Pollution on Insects, Birds and Wildlife - Presentation by DeeAnn Gregory. In 2017, the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine was awarded to scientists who isolated the genes which control circadian rhythm (the internal clock) in all living things. This discovery, combined with other advances in science, has led to a greater understanding of the impacts of artificial light at night (ALAN). This presentation provides an overview of these impacts on insects, birds and other wildlife.
