The Fostering American Indian Youth Workshop is a prevention program implemented for foster care parents/caregivers in Maricopa County that are currently fostering American Indian youth.
Fostering AI Youth is a three-day workshop led by a facilitator that will focus on topics such as communicating with your child, introducing and understanding American Indian norms, values, and beliefs with an emphasis on talking with your teen about risky behaviors.
This workshop is open to all caregivers: new foster parents, guardians, grandparents, childcare providers, and any relative(s) who have American Indian foster youth in their care.
