Planning for Public Realm Accessibility for People with Disabilities

Peggy Martinez, a Board Member of the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities, has worked in disability inclusion and accessibility since 1996 in higher education, nonprofit management, and as a business owner. In 2015, she launched Creative Inclusion (www.creativeinclusion.us) in response to requests from designers and planners for her expertise in the areas of accessible technology, wayfinding, transit, recreation, and entertainment.

In this webinar, Peggy will cover topics including: defining the public realm; the demographics of disability; the laws, best practices, and principles that apply to accessible design; and much more. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
