Are you about one of the 93 million Americans living today that are the direct descendants of “homesteaders”? Want to find out more about an ancestor who filed claims under the “Homestead Act” which was signed in 1862 by President Abraham Lincoln? This class will provide guidance in researching your homesteading ancestor, the available records, and the information you might find in those records.
