IFA Global Café | In Conversation With: Prof. Shereen Hussein
In the midst of the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing and with the age of populations increasing globally, now is the time to assess and improve health and social care systems to improve the lives of older people. While there is often much focus on high-income countries, low-and-middle-income countries face their own challenges and experiences in ageing which must be considered with ongoing demographic changes.

There is a need to re-think ageing throughout the life course and opportunities for capacity-building globally. As a Professor of Health and Social Care Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with experience in cross-learning across countries, prioritizing older people in policy agendas and cultural contexts specific to the Middle East and African Region, Prof. Shereen Hussein is the featured key expert at the upcoming IFA Global Cafe session to discuss "Healthy Ageing and Opportunities in the Middle-East and African Region."
