Death Record Medical Terminology and Epidemics

Deciphering the cause of death and those funny numeric codes on death certificates can lead to a better understanding of your ancestor's death. Having just lived through the COVID epidemic, we can relate to the epidemics of past generations. We've heard of the Smallpox and Spanish flu epidemics, but there are others we should be aware of when researching.
