Denisha Seals is the CEO of Water2Spirit. She is a speaker, advocate, entrepreneur, and survivor. Her goal is to motivate other survivors of sexual assault to heal their pain by telling their stories and seeking counseling so they no longer feeling alone. She works to create networks of allies in the community around these issues and encourage them to help develop safe havens for survivors of trauma. She is also the author of renowned children's book, 'Butterflies in Me', which highlights stories of multicultural children struggle to cope and understand their mental illness. The book covers ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, and depression while providing the glimpse into the children's perspective. It acts of a tool for education and comfort by relaying the message that these children (and all children who suffer) are special, strong, and did nothing wrong.
