Kingdom Women Monthly Book Club (BIPOC targeted; Christian focused; Virtual)

This virtual book club is designed for women of God who want to be spiritually and culturally discerning, conscious, and informed. Chosen titles will be from BIPOC women, who may or may not be of the Christian faith. However each book selection will be accompanied with scriptures and questions for the reader’s consideration.

February 2023 Selection: Beloved by Toni Morrison

First Book Club Meeting: Monday, February 20th, 2023

Time: 7:30 pm-8:45 pm EST

Location: Virtual via Zoom

We will open our book club with the classic, “Beloved”, written by the famed African American author, Toni Morrison. Beloved” reminds us that the haunting realities of the past, can/will show up in the circumstances of the present, if not reconciled.

Toni Morrison won the Pulitzer Prize in Literature for “Beloved” in 1988. She also received several other honors including, the Nobel Prize in Literature, the National Humanities Medal, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Once you register for the book club, you will receive regular communication regarding the books that will be read for the remainder of the year.
