Navigating Long Term Care Medicaid: Understanding Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) Medicaid and MMA Plans

Attendees will learn how to navigate Medicaid’s Long Term Care Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) program. Discover what benefits are included with HCBS and how to get on these benefits through the wait list. Learn how to read a Notice of Case Action to clearly understand the patient responsibility and other benefits. Understand what MMA plans are, what are required with each plan, and where to find information about extra benefits that may be included. Additionally, attendees will be given tools to access HCBS benefits when their client is over the income and/or asset limit by using a Pooled Trust.
