Critical Crossroads: Resources for Recognizing and Addressing Trauma in Children and Youth with Disabilities

Join FFF’s Beth Spivack for an overview and screening of our Critical Crossroads videos, checklists and infographics. View new resources available in Spanish and English. Participants will:

1) Review trauma and its impact on educational performance and other outcomes;

2) Identify signs of trauma-informed care in schools and community settings;

3) Provide strategies so parents and caregivers can advocate for trauma-informed care for their children and youth with disabilities; and

4) Name actions that empower trauma-impacted youth to foster independence, strengthen self-advocacy, and build competency.
