Phi Beta Kappa Delaware Valley Virtual Movie Club
Virtual discussion of the film, The Meyerowitz Stories, directed by Noah Baumbach.  With New York City as a character, this comedy-drama depicts cross-generational family dynamics with ideas of success, showing their individual and collective fallibilites, along with the hilarity as well, "taking a literary angle that suggests The New Yorker, J.D. Salinger, and, to some extent, Woody Allen".  Dustin Hoffman is the patriarch, along with thoughtful roles by Adam Sandler (called "a revelation" by the NY Times), Ben Stiller, Emma Thompson, a cameo by Candice Bergen, and up & coming young actors.  NY Times "Critics Pick", a Palme d'Or selection at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, and a high 93% Rotten Tomatoes score. View on Netflix and meet via Zoom on March 10, 2022, at 7:00 PM, for an insightful interactive discussion.  No charge event.
