Global Health Conference - Taking Action in Uncertain Times
This conference aims to provide a platform for stakeholders in the civil society to create and participate in discourse that advocates for systemic change and on how to push for more substantial actions, accountability, and transparency at the top.

As the organising team, some questions that we invite you to discuss during this day and hope to provide a space for further exploration are the following: Why does this critical point in time need to be more than just an "energy transition" (Energiewende)? How pervasive into every section of everyday existence and social identity is this physical - by now broadly feelable - environmental change that affects us in the European setting? How are social determinants of health influenced by environmental change factors exacerbating people's health? How do health systems need to adapt to support a population affected more and more by the environmental change knock-on effects? How do for-profit systems influence the needed change trajectory that is required for more European equality and better livelihoods in the context of the climate crisis?
With COVID-19 regulations still being in place, our keynote speech, the conference workshops and the plenary session will take place online this year.
The schedule is the following:
1:00 pm - Introduction by the organisers
1:10 pm - Keynote speech by AG Gesundes Klima
1:30 pm - Opportunity to participate in one of 3 Online workshops
Workshop 1: Feminist approaches to health in the context of nuclear (dis)armament (ICAN Germany)
Workshop 2: Legal approaches for the protection of the environment (StopEcocide Germany)
Workshop 3: How investment agreements undermine democracy and a healthy future (PowerShift)
3:00 pm - Break
3:30 pm - Plenary session and Q&A
4:30 pm - End of Conference
