On June 30, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court decided to take up Moore v. Harper, a gerrymandering power grab by the North Carolina’s state legislature. Moore will make it even easier for politicians to restrict the vote, draw gerrymandered maps, and cast doubt on election results, making it harder to turn public demands into public policy, from higher wages to healthcare for all.
It's time to fight back, and put people over politics.
State and local advocates are barnstorming North Carolina holding #MapOurFuture tour to build our movement and defeat this latest radical move from Raleigh. Join us for an event in Fayetteville on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, where we’ll learn more about Moore’s implications for the future of our multiracial democracy and the issues we care about, especially for the upcoming midterm elections.
*If you are unable to attend virtually at 5:30pm, consider signing up for our in-person at 7pm! Go to scsj.org/tour for more details.
