These workshop sessions provide AP teachers as well as teachers preparing students for AP an overview of critical skills that cross the AP courses and exam. Additionally, they are designed to build understanding of how to promote students’ skill development within and across the curriculum. Providing an overview of the intersection of skills that cross the 38 AP® courses and exams, these sessions highlight the skills that are critical for college and career success. Specific topics include teaching for understanding and transfer, applying critical reasoning and thinking processes, the importance of practice and formative assessments, and using AP® resources to enhance instruction. An overview of the AP® Capstone Program, AP® with WE, as well as new AP® courses and initiatives will be included.
