Food Sovereignty is a Revolutionary Abolitionist Project.

Join us on Tuesday, May 17th at 7pm EST for a virtual roundtable on the intersections of carcerality, food and land sovereignty, and abolition. We’re incredibly excited to be in deep conversation with friends, comrades, mentors, and organizers working to build a world where we are all able to meet our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs—a world that centers the liberatory potential of food and land to heal and restore relationships torn apart by centuries of oppression.

Panelists:
- Ashanté Reese, Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies
- Beatriz Beckford
- Eric Jackson, Servant-Director of Black Yield Institute
- Joshua Sbicca, Professor of Sociology and Director of Prison Agriculture Lab
- Kanav Kathuria, The Maryland Food & Prison Abolition Project [Moderator]
- Navina Khanna, Executive Director of HEAL Food Alliance

This panel will be held in English, with Spanish interpretation and closed captioning services available.
