Starting in Summer 2021, the EERA Joint Programme on Advanced Materials and Processes for Energy Applications (JP AMPEA), together with the EERA Joint Programme on Nuclear Materials (JP NM) and the transversal Joint Programme Digitalisation for Energy (tJP DfE), started a workshop series on "Energy Materials for Innovation (EM4I)". The series covers the integral stages of materials research, from discovery to scale-up productions, device development, industrial integration and sustainability, as well as cross-cutting technologies supporting these actions.
The second workshop will focus on how to bring innovative ideas and products from the lab to the engineering scale, which is a crucial step for the transition to a future sustainable energy system. Various examples of recent cases will be given. Special emphasis will be made on the key for success and bottlenecks in this transition.
