Jesus and the Disinherited Book Group

Sponsored by the Mount Level Community Partnership for Racial Justice,
this 7-week book group reading Jesus and the Disinherited, by Rev. Dr. Howard Thurman, is open to all and free of charge.

For the first session only, participants will have the option to participate either virtually (Zoom) or in person. The in-person meeting will take place at Epworth United Methodist Church (3002 Hope Valley Rd, Durham, NC 27707). All other sessions will occur exclusively over Zoom.

Participants are responsible for purchasing their own copies of the book. We ask that all participants read and affirm the MLCPRJ Covenant (found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CQadn9urWI00HGTzHme4ueLelpjlm_Ys/view) for discussion groups. We ask that participants make every effort to attend all meetings for the entire duration of the book group.
