Did you know that Lewis and Clark spent more time in the what would become the State of Illinois than any other state on the National Historic Trail with one exception, North Dakota. Many folks do not know Illinois' rich Lewis and Clark history, which includes the recruitment and eventual formation of the Corps of Discovery, the gathering of supplies and knowledge to prepare for their journey. Spend an evening learning about their first Winter encampment, Camp River Dubois, and the history that would play such a pivotal role in the success of their expedition.
Presenter: Brad Winn - Site Superintendent, Lewis and Clark State Historic Site and others. Adjunct Instructor of U. S. History and Humanities at Lewis and Clark Community College.
