Exposing the Imposter Phenomenon in Neuroscience
Impostor phenomenon is a psychological trend very common among operational individuals described as feeling inadequate or even like a fraud in their current role. This feeling prevails very often despite them having the required qualifications and multiple career successes. This phenomenon is not a clinical psychological diagnosis but rather a tendency towards behavioral patterns where individuals doubt their abilities and have a constant fear of being “discovered” as a fraud. The scope of this webinar is to increase awareness of the phenomenon particularly in the neuroscience academic community and describe its manifestation while providing insights into the different factors that contribute to its persistence.
In preparation for the webinar, we kindly ask you to fill in this short survey which allows you to self assess where you stand with regards to the Impostor Phenomenon: Thank you! The survey is anonymous. The results will be shared during the webinar only as a basis for discussion.
