Protecting the public’s right to know is integral to the health of our democracy and has been a League priority since our founding. Government decisions that determine how our schools are run, how community programs are funded, and how land in our towns is used impact our lives and are vital to our well-being. These decisions deserve to be made with public input and oversight.

In this training, we will explore how you can ensure your community is informed about government activities as a citizen journalist. You’ll learn how to attend public meetings and report what you observed to your neighbors.
