SCRR Event: Re-writing Our Narratives: Cultivating Healing through Critical Literacy and Collective Care
Trauma and crisis are really good at creating chaos, disrupting and distorting our self-perception, and altering our worldviews in ways that impede our well-being. One powerful way to heal beyond trauma is to research our own stories to create coherent narratives of ourselves and our experiences. To sift through the debris of it all and create a bridge or barge between the personal to professional.

Join this five-part educator participatory action research experience, designed to guide educators through the process of exploring personal and collective barriers to mental health and wellness. Using the ecological model of health and the structure of Critical Friends Groups (CFG), join us to develop our own essential questions and action plans relevant to areas of need within our personal and professional lives to foster holistic wellness.

This group is limited to 40 people- first come first served!

Over the course of five sessions, our CFG will draw upon our lived experiences and explore scholarly texts to develop a trauma-informed praxis to implement within our personal and professional lives.

Session 1: Issue identification-what are we holding?
Sessions 2-4: Purpose & Process
Session 5: Reflecting on that change or pivot
Session 6: Time for Reflection
