CTE Month Event: The Value of CTE to Employers
Please join business and education leaders on February 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. to learn about the tremendous value of Career and Technical Education (CTE) for employers!

This event will add to numerous CTE Month® celebrations taking place at schools and communities across Michigan -- and the nation -- to highlight the achievements and accomplishments of CTE students and programs.

· Welcome: Dr. Brian Pyles, State Director of the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education (MDE-OCTE).
· Value of CTE to Employers: Dr. Amanda Holdsworth, Executive Director of the Michigan Association for Career and Technical Education (MI ACTE).
· Work-Based Learning (WBL) Benefits and How to Get Started: Celena Mills, Education Consultant, MDE-OCTE.
· Apprenticeship Benefits and How to Get Started: Lee Graham, Executive Director LMEC, Operating Engineers 324.
· Business and Industry Testimonials: Various employers from around the state will share their stories about working with CTE programs and students.
