LWSD Middle School BGLAD

BGLAD is a social support group for LGBTQ+ youth and is facilitated by trained Mental Health Professionals to maintain group expectations/rules. Group meets online Wednesdays from 3-4pm. In group, we will share and learn about identities, develop self-understanding, and learn skills to navigate situations faced by the LGBTQ+ community. We will develop group activities and topics based on the group’s interests!

To join, members must complete a screening interview with their school's YES Behavioral Health Support Specialist. Contact your school counselor if you need help connecting with your school's BHSS.

The purpose of this screening is to help connect students with their school's BHSS, and help our group leaders get to know what members are hoping to get out of group! Other than this, we'll use this interview to determine whether or not this group sounds like a good fit for your needs, as well as provide other resources or sources of support, if a student would like them.

**Must be a student enrolled in a Lake Washington Middle School to participate**
