This fall, our Chester County Planners’ Forum will be a hybrid event, held both virtually via Zoom and in-person at the East Bradford Township building from 8 am to 10 am on Wednesday, October 6. During the forum, we’ll be celebrating 25 years of the Vision Partnership Program and hearing three excellent municipal presentations on successfully using planning to reach one’s goals.
Here are the speakers for October 6:
• Mandie Cantlin, East Bradford’s manager, will describe the township’s extensive open space preservation planning efforts
• Tony Scheivert, Upper Uwchlan’s manager, will summarize smart growth and village preservation successes
• Matt Fetick, Kennett Square’s mayor, and Doug Doerfler, Council member, will highlight the borough’s successful revitalization and redevelopment
The first half hour of the event, from 8 am to 8:30 am, will be networking time, where people joining the meeting virtually via Zoom will be put into breakout rooms to chat with other planners, while the planners at the East Bradford Township building will be able to network in person. After the presentations conclude at 9:30, there will be an opportunity to stay on the call or in person to connect with anyone else who is participating.
The Planners’ Forum provides a great opportunity to hear about current planning issues, share ideas with your fellow planners, and catch up with old friends.
