CA Advancing PREA Office Hours: Letter Writing Workshop

Description:
​​This session will help advocates gain confidence in providing meaningful emotional support via letter writing to incarcerated survivors. In reviewing example scenarios together, advocates will work to develop responses that meet the specific needs of incarcerated survivors.

Objectives:

- Determine ways to assess the needs of incarcerated survivors via letter correspondence.
- Provide strategies to build rapport, trust, and ongoing advocacy with incarcerated survivors.
- Describe relevant resources and healing materials that address incarcerated survivor’s needs.
