Session 4: Development perspectives
27th August 2022 at 4 pm IST (7:30 pm JST)

Session 4 highlights development challenges through governmental and non-governmental perspectives with first-hand accounts of nearly three decades. The audience will be journeyed through JICA’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) cooperation to India, such as urban railways in metropolitan cities, road connectivity in the north eastern region, water supply, environment improvement, and human resource development, that has significantly contributed in strengthening the bilateral relations between India and Japan. Experiences and lessons through grassroot initiatives and interactions as well as voluntary actions in India would give us an insight about India’s new challenges, potentials, and innovative approaches that can help Japan to increase cooperation in India in the years to come.
