Engaging and motivating multiple generations in the workplace may not be as easy as it sounds, especially in the hybrid work environment. Each generation can have different expectations, communication styles, goals, and perspectives. Because each generation is shaped by its own unique historical context and cultural experiences, they often have a shared perspective about the world that is different from those of other age groups. This presents supervisors with the challenge of figuring out how to create a workplace where engagement, loyalty and productivity are high, despite the differences among those different generational groups.
After completing this session, the participant will:
Identify the five generations in the global workforce.
List major current challenges in working with generational differences.
Describe generational differentiators and fears - and things in common, too.
Determine ways to engage and motivate each generation in the hybrid workforce.
