This training provides an overview of domestic violence including the scope, nature, and dynamics of the problem and its impact on families. This training will assist participants in understanding issues and barriers that victims face when seeking help from a variety of systems and service providers. Through this training, participants will be able to understand the dynamics of domestic violence, identify power and control as the foundation of domestic violence, describe the tactics of abuse, understand the barriers victims face when trying to leave an abusive relationship, develop safety plans with victims, and screen for domestic violence and make an appropriate referral for services.
This training is free of charge to attend but you must be registered. If after registering you cannot attend, please contact the Director of training at email@example.com. If you do not cancel or do not attend, you will be charged a "no show" fee of $50.00.
