Hi, I’ve been endorsed by Ash Kalra - author of AB1400. I support the expansion of healthcare to all people. I also believe that we need to expand healthcare coverage - and far better dental coverage, mental health and much more for our seniors. I have also pushed for our option for EBCE to be nuclear free (other cities followed except for Fremont). I have also prioritized our senior population and housing for our seniors. One of my top properties is universal healthcare. I will vote for any single payer bill that comes across my desk. If the bill fails to pass, I will pursue two backups: 1.) A public option at the state level that directly competes with private health insurance plans. 2.) Reducing the number of uninsured in our district who are not eligible for Medicare or Covered California but struggle to afford coverage.

Given the size and expected increase in evictions and foreclosures, how many households could you help using surplus county land Caltrans lands for safe permanent parks for vehicle dwellers and and mobile home parks can you bring to the table?

Alameda County does not use CalPERS for the pension system. There is a separate Alameda County retirement system, and the Board of Supervisors appoints four of the nine trustees. How do you feel about the Retirement Board pursuing a progressive investment policy using social criteria, like divesting from Russia, fossil fuels, positive labor relations, etc?
