Would it be possible to remove the parklette unhtil they reopen to free up parking?

It is our understanding that the most recent application was to stay open until 5am

Please confirm if a new application will be made to stay open until 2:30am only.

The concerns are trash, indirect contributions to safety issues currently happening, and direct contribution to public urination and defecation issues that are ongoing.

Why are the establishments that are most likely to contribute to many of the problems we have been discussing allowed to stay open late?

Agree with Beejan - why can businesses that serve alcohol stay open til 2AM, but those that do not must close at 12?

It has to do with the license, but I think the main safety issue is those that bring their own alcohol and party in the street.

No doubt the main problem is alcohol and partying. I live on the square and see many people bringing their own alcohol, AND enter and exit bars until 2am, as that is the only type of establishment conducive to bringing your own liquor and jumping in and out of a business

Even then, the majority of people I see out late at night, or urinating on my front steps, are not carrying alcohol, but are drunk it seems

why don't they start by giving citations to people with open alcoholic beverages. That's the reason they come down to Fells, is because they can openly drink in public
