Yes, behavior is communication! The tricky part is that early childhood centers have a 1:8/10 ratio and it can be difficult to give the target supports needed. So we need resources. Also these larger environments are overstimulating for some kiddos who are struggling.

I have to say that my work with parents doesn't indicate a stigma around mental health. It would be good to have updated data about that. I conducted a parent survey on mental health in schools in 2011 and it found parents to be supportive. I would be happy to share the report.
