How do you encourage participation for more traditional mind sets that they have to show up at a community center or chapter house? especially those who do not embrace technology

Great question, Ermalinda! That demographic can be tricky to reach. Telephone Town Halls are a great option for more traditional folks. This type of public involvement method allows the community to listen in, ask questions, and provide input by simply pressing 1 for this response, 2 for that, etc. They can also provide comments by leaving a voice note via the voice mail system. Oops, sorry about the sound issue, Caroline! Matt referred back to his point about providing videos to act as a break for your audience. He said "Welcome to your 4 and a half minute breather!"

What would you say is the biggest challenge you experience with public involvement? Did you find an innovative solution? Did anything surprise you?
