Dione Alexander: Regarding the importance of partnership in community development, "Do nothing about me, without me."

01:08:06
Robert Mattler: Regarding the power of PACE, PACE is unusual in that it's not a traditional financing too. First time developers can use it, because "PACE is not looking for the same bumps that normally knock other developers out of the box". It is a much more equitable tool.

01:15:30
Sanford Garner: Regarding creating successful working partnerships in this space must start with honest conversations: There is a lot of money in DEI. So you need to ask your potential partners, "Are you sincere, why is DEI meaningful to you?"

Such a fascinating discussion! We will be started with our small group discussions shortly.

I saw a LinkedIn study that showed many people of color are not able to build the same kind of network due to systematic racism and restricted access that a typical white privileged person is easily able to build. Can the wonderful panel talk about how to help build up the networks and access of those who may not automatically be able to? Thanks!

01:26:07
Sarah B. I would love to share with you on that topic
