• Friends of Beta add tremendous value to our organization and have allowed us to expand our volunteer base. They have been and should continue to be an important element of our overall volunteer strategy.• Chapter officers, members, and alumni benefit when they work with volunteers with diverse experiences and perspectives. Local advisor teams should reflect diversity of chapter experience, age, and background.

As I mentioned I just asked at our chapter meeting if anyone knew of anyone let me know. I'm also going to attend a parents club meeting and ask if any of the parents would be interested in being an advisor.

The Utah Chapter has for several years asked their major philanthropy, Utah Rape Recovery Center, to have a Staff member join the Chapter Advisory Board.
Anne Emmerth || BOII
34:07
Making a pitch during the chapter's moms weekend and dads weekend is a great way to let parents know that there are volunteers working with their sons and a great way to recruit.
Jim Curtis
34:09
Probably should use an "all of the above" approach. The key is we need to be engaged.
Kirk Little
34:51
One great source for a Faculty Advisor is the institution's Tutoring or Academic Success Center. East Carolina has been very blessed by our Faculty Advisor who is the Director of our Academic Success Center.

 What steps do you take to make sure FOBs are included? Are there any areas you struggle to include FOBs? What ideas do you have for inclusion to share with other volunteers?
Anne Emmerth || BOII
46:53
This is a great point. . . . sometimes it's easier for a FOB to "float away" if they're not being actively engaged with the team.
