Nice to see the variety of participants today … who you are .. where you're from.
Again, we'll take questions after our 3 speakers are done making their presentations.
Reminder: This PPT and recording will be available after today's program. We'll post it to our website and will email them to our registrants.
With the child care stabilization grants did/will the State spend ALL federal child care dollars received for Covid?
Will the increase in funding for GSRP allow for expanded eligibility requirements? Currently parents income must meet poverty threshold, but I am hoping more low to middle income families will be eligible for pre-k.
There are so few infant/toddler centers/classrooms for children. In additional to subsidizing 'new' centers, it would be wonderful if the State would subsidize existing programs so that they can expand.
We can't find staff to allow enrollment to increase. Our Centers are full of children, with not enough teachers.
I apologize if this is a dumb question - are there any models out there we could implement to ensure that child care workers are getting paid more? Which gets to Karen's point that we can't keep staff.
Thanks so much!
We have time for a few more questions, or comments!
Can you explain the Earned Income Tax Credit in more detail. I here pros and cons and don't know enough to know what is accurate.
Teri I would like to make a comment if there is time.
