You talk about Jewish identity in your book. This week I was talking to someone from Russia about how my grandparents came from Russia because of the pogroms. So, I told her I had a Russian background. She said...no, your aren't Russian, you are Jewish. Can you identify as a person from a country; not a person who is defined by their Jewish religion and religious heritage.
