Zoom is a great tool for “seeing” people whom you cannot—because of distance, because of risk, etc.—see in person. But it is not a substitute for in-person connections. You can’t truly see how a sick person is doing over Zoom—you have to be attentive to nuances, and Zoom does not capture nuances.
