How does a teacher get CFM Certification? I've been looking on the NYSED website with no luck.

it's not a specific certification, it's included as Business and Distributive Marketing certification

CTE certified teachers are certified to teach CFM.

Hey Kathyrn, if I'm following correctly its not a certification ant CTE (FCS/Business/Tech etc..) teacher can teach

So a math or science teacher could not teach CFM either? Only technology or CTE teachers?

Some schools find it difficult incorporating CFM into their school schedule. What are your thoughts about teaching CFM as an online course.

This is only a 1/2 credit course, correct?

Can you describe the kinds of assessments you specified as being required for each unit?

Can the units be spread over 2 years of a CTE program?

Can we clarify who can teach CFM?

We (SCSD) work with two part time, retired former ELA teachers that help us do our curriculum writing. We really need a full time curriculum writer but so far no luck on that front.

Our curriculum writers work with our CTE teachers. All curriculum is written in the same format and references the CCTC that Marsha is references

Are the exams for business: Business Concepts and Marketing 1 made by the district or are they industry exams?

Is this for CTE high schools? I believe our kids get this at their home schools.

When discussing what a program of study must include, you said academics standards should be mapped even when not seeking credit. Does this include all academics? For example, our BOCES does not offer social studies integrated credit...should that be in our curriculum maps?
